Factors that Impact Trimix Cost

There are many elements that affect the cost of Trimix.

Your dosage will dictate how many injections come within your vial, which will impact the cost.

A typical Trimix protocol is a dosage between .05mL and 0.12mL. Most patients who have not tried Trimix before will start at the lowest dosage to ensure safe use.

The next factor that determines Trimix cost is the vial size and strength you’re prescribed. Defy Medical offers access to a 5mL bottle, which typically lasts patients two to three months depending on their dosage.

Another factor that impacts cost is how often you inject. You can inject Trimix up to three times a week, waiting 24 hours between each injection.

Your activity level will determine how much you wish to inject within those parameters, which will dictate how often you need to purchase new vials.

Different Types of Trimix

The above estimate is calculated based on the price of Trimix and Super Trimix, but your cost will vary depending on which potent formula you utilize. These include:

• Trimix: The original formula, Trimix includes Alprostadil, Papaverine, and Phentolamine. Vial cost: $139
• Super Trimix: Similar to Trimix but contains Phentolamine at a doubled dosage. Vial cost: $139
• Bimix: Includes Papaverine and Phentolamine but excludes Alprostadil for those sensitive to it. Vial cost: $89
• Super Bimix: Offers Phentolamine at a dosage twice as high as that of Bimix. Vial cost: $89
• Quadmix: Consists of Papaverine, Phentolamine Mesylate, Prostaglandin, and Atropine Sulfate. Vial cost: $169
• Super Quadmix: Contains Phentolamine at twice the dosage found in Quadmix. Vial cost: $169

We typically recommend patients start with the basic Trimix formula unless they have a known sensitivity or allergy to Alprostadil (in which case, Bimix would be more appropriate).

If for some reason Trimix doesn’t bring results, patients can try other formulas like Super Trimix and Quadmix.
